Research Technician at ALPX
Position description:
We seek a highly motivated and enthusiastic research technician to join the ALPX team.
ALPX is an EMBL Spin-off Company located in Grenoble, France. We offer innovative research services based on the CrystalDirect technology for structural biology and small-molecule drug discovery to the pharmaceutical
and biotech industries.
The successful candidate will be supporting a range of exciting drug discovery projects by applying our high-throughput, automated X-ray crystallography pipelines.
Ideally, you would be eager to deepen the knowledge in the field of structure biology.
Responsibilities include laboratory and admin support, preparing solutions and samples for X-ray crystallography, and comprehensively document work progress and present within the team.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Bachelor, Master or Technician degree
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent
writing and speaking English - Excellent documentation and organisation skills
- Effective interaction in a dynamic team environment
- Team player with the ability to work on several projects and conduct experiments in parallel
- Motivation to learn new techniques and methods
Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Experience in macromolecular crystallography, including crystallization and crystal optimisation
- Experience using robotics and automation
