Dear all,
We have a fully funded postdoctoral position (up to 4.5 years, 100% research) at Jagiellonian University in Kraków. The project uses TR-SFX and TR-SSX to capture the structural dynamics of chloride transport in a cyanobacterial halorhodopsin, building on Mous
et al., Science, 2022. Mutagenesis and functional transport assays will test the molecular mechanism, complemented by collaborations on time-resolved spectroscopy and QM/MM. Crystals diffracting to 2.3 Å and beamtime are in hand — no prior XFEL experience
is required.
