You will join a dynamic team investigating the functional interactions of factors involved in nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD) in vitro and in vivo (e.g. EMBO J. 2017 doi: 10.15252/embj.201797079; Nucl. Acids Res. 2018 doi:10.1093/nar/gky054; NAR 2021 doi: 10.1093/nar/gkab532; Biochem. J. 2022 doi: 10.1042/BCJ20210556; Nucl. Acids Res. 2022 doi: 10.1093/nar/gkac421). Outstanding applicants have a strong background in RNA/ribosome biochemistry or RNA-protein interactions. Expertise in protein biochemistry and structural biology, in particular cryo-EM, is required.
We welcome applications from enthusiastic and motivated individuals with a PhD (or about to obtain one) in Biochemistry, Structural Biology or related fields with a strong interest in inter-disciplinary molecular biology research.
