Dear colleagues.
A permanent position in structural biology is available at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) located in London at Dr Isabel Moraes’ lab.
I wish to recruit a highly motivated PhD-level scientist (or equivalent experience) to help on the development of structural biology capabilities addressing the challenges of membrane proteins as drug targets, antimicrobial discovery and synthetic biology. The candidate will be involved in structural biology projects using x-ray crystallography, cryo-EM and XFEL approaches. The successful candidate will be expected to perform research, produce research reports and contribute to scientific articles and talks.
Desirable skills and experience:
– Experience in molecular biology
– Experience in protein expression (insect cells and e.coli) and purification
– Solid knowledge in protein characterization and biophysical methods
– Experience in x-ray crystallography and/or cryo-EM
– Experience is membrane protein research will be an advantage
For details, and how to apply, until 30st November see:https://jobs.npl.co.uk/vacancies/879/higher-research-scientist–protein-expression.html
