.- A research associate position to work on the study of genome editing complexes and their interaction with chromatin using a combination of cryo-EM, cryo-ET and single molecule approaches. In this position, we
are looking for applicants with a Ph.D. with experience in cryo-EM applied to biology. A typical candidate Ph.D. in biophysics and/or biochemistry with successful experience with single-particle cryo-EM structure determination. Proficiency in sample preparation
and data processing techniques.
.- A postdoctoral position for a highly motivated individual with expertise in computational
biology with an interest in protein design to develop new genome editing complexes.

(CPR) in the group headed by Prof. Guillermo Montoya. More information on CPR can be found

Place of employment
We are located at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research (https://www.cpr.ku.dk/). The institute was established in 2007 at
the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, to promote basic and applied research. CPR spans broad areas of protein research, ranging from a structural and mechanistic understanding of protein complexes to protein pathways. The Center
is structured into five complementary research programs: Proteomics, Protein Structure and Function, Protein Signalling, Disease Systems Biology and Protein Memory, each of which is supported by dedicated technology platforms. As a part of these technology
platforms, several professionally supported state-of-the-art electron microscopes are available as part of CFIM, the UCPH cryo-EM facility. Copenhagen
is a family-friendly but at the same time lively city flooded with cultural events during the year, it is ranked among the best cities to live in the world. The
selected persons will benefit from an intellectually stimulating, supportive and collaborative environment, including access to soft skills workshops run by our centre and the University of Copenhagen (project writing courses, career development and leadership

Terms of employment
The employment for both positions is full-time for 2 years with the possibility of extension. Salary, pension, and other conditions of employment are
set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or another relevant organisation. Depending on qualifications, a supplement may be negotiated. The employer will pay an additional
17.1 % to your pension fund. Foreign and Danish applicants may be eligible for tax reductions if they hold a PhD degree and have not lived in Denmark for the last 10 years. The position is covered
by the Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities 2020.
