Dear CCP4bb community,

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join the Biophysics of Photosynthesis group at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. The project uses time-resolved
serial crystallography to investigate photoprotective proteins in action.

Experiments will be carried out at leading X-ray facilities, including MicroMAX (MAX IV),
ESRF, SwissFEL and other X-ray sources. The position combines serial crystallography data analysis (hit finding, indexing, merging and refinement), development of new data-processing pipelines, and experimental work involving recombinant protein expression,
purification and crystallization of photoactive proteins.

Experience with serial crystallography and tools such as CrystFEL is a strong advantage.
However, we don’t expect candidates to have experience in every area. If you have strong expertise in one of these fields and are enthusiastic about developing skills in the others, we would be very happy to hear from you!

To apply, please send your CV and a short motivation to
v.u.chukhutsina@vu.nl.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis
until the position is filled. Questions are very welcome.

Best wishes,
Olga
