Postdoctoral Scholar in
Structural Biology & Translational Medicine
Are you a structural biologist
looking to bridge the gap between fundamental discovery and real-world
therapeutic applications? The Rongsheng Jin Laboratory at the University
of California, Irvine (School of Medicine) is looking for a motivated
Postdoctoral Fellow to join our NIH-funded research team!
The Mission: We are
elucidating the molecular mechanisms of bacterial virulence factors and
translating these discoveries into macromolecular drug development—specifically
focusing on antibodies, vaccines, and innovative medical cosmetics.
The Tools: Our lab sits at
the cutting edge of biophysics, integrating Cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM).
X-ray crystallography, and advanced biochemical & cell biology assays.
Why Join Us? Beyond the
bench, you will join a deeply collaborative international network spanning Cell
Biology, Toxicology, Dermatology, and Aesthetic Medicine, with
complementary research in animal disease models. This is a unique
opportunity to see your structural work inform the future of clinical therapy and
medical aesthetics. Furthermore, Irvine is consistently ranked as one of the
safest and best places to live in the US!
Who You Are:
- Hold a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, or
Structural Biology. - Passionate about protein structure-to-function
relationships. - Driven by a desire to innovate in both basic science
and translational medicine.
How to Apply: Interested
candidates should send their CV and contact info for three referees to r.jin@uci.edu. Apply link: https://recruit.ap.uci.edu/JPF10029
