Dear colleagues,

We are currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join my lab in the
Department of Biochemistry at the University of Oxford (https://www.bioch.ox.ac.uk/research/wrobel).

Our small research team uses structural methods, biophysics, and cell biology to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying viral evolution and host adaptation. The project will
focus on understanding how some viruses change their receptor specificity from glycan- to protein-binding, and how receptor selection may influence the mechanism of viral entry. Answering these questions will help us better understand past pandemics and prepare
more effectively for those in the future.

Oxford is a fantastic place to work, and our department benefits from a vibrant research community and outstanding facilities, including a Titan Krios with K3 and two Talos microscopes
in-house, and convenient access to the nearby Diamond Synchrotron. We work closely with excellent groups within Oxford and across Europe, so new lab members can expect strong opportunities to grow and collaborate.

More details about the post, responsibilities, and selection criteria can be found here: https://tinyurl.com/postdoc-wrobellab .
Please feel free to get in touch directly via email at antoni.wrobel at
bioch.ox.ac.uk if you are interested or know someone who might be! The deadline for applications is 19 May.

With best wishes,

Antoni
