A postdoctoral researcher position is available at Dr. Fang Li lab in the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Please see the following for details.

 Applicants are
invited for a postdoctoral researcher position in the Laboratory of Structural
Biology of Disease at the Department of Pharmacology,
Medical School, University of Minnesota. 

The laboratory is headed by Dr.
Fang Li (PI). 
This will be an
annually renewable, 100% time postdoctoral researcher appointment. Annual
renewal hinges on performance and available funding. Candidates must have
completed PhD training by start date and should have a record of success in
scientific research (as evidenced in first-author publications in scientific
journals). Applicants are expected to have excellent molecular biology and
protein biochemistry skills as well as strong written and verbal communication
skills. 

Duties of the
position include: (1) Conduct molecular virology research in the field of
receptor recognition and cell entry of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19 virus); (2)
Participate in design of projects, planning and executing experiments; (3)
Collect and organize data for research activities; (4) Attend, participate, or
present at laboratory meetings, seminars, graduate and undergraduate lectures,
and conferences as needed; (5) Maintain frequent communication with collaborators,
including, if required, traveling to destinations to meet with collaborators
and collect data.
