Good
evening
We are
seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral fellow for the Protein Crystallography Small
Research Facility (PX-SRF), under the supervision of Professor Frank von
Delft. The successful candidate will support all PX-SRF related
activities, with the predominant focus on the projects in the ASAP pipeline (https://dndi.org/press-releases/2022/consortium-to-discover-antivirals-covid19-receives-nih-funding-develop-globally-accessible-treatments-pandemics/). ASAP builds on the our previous experience with COVID
Moonshot (https://covid.postera.ai/covid). Your role in the SRF is to drive crystallography
projects to obtain robust crystal systems ready for fragment screening, and the
development of biochemical and/or biophysical assays for the characterization
of protein ligand complexes of said targets. In addition, we provide support to
the wider CMD crystallography community and are involved in training and
hosting students and academic visitors. As part of the von Delft group you will
work closely with our XChem team, based at Diamond Light source at Harwell
campus, and you will have the opportunity to get involved in fragment screening
and XChem pipeline methodology development (https://www.diamond.ac.uk/Instruments/Mx/Fragment-Screening.html).
