Technical Assistant Structural Biology (m/f/d)
Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Cloning, expression, and purification of proteins for structure elucidation
• Investigation of protein-ligand binding with biophysical techniques for the validation and characterization of the interaction
• Data collection at the Synchrotron and at internal X-ray sources as well as data processing, structural elucidation, and refinement
• Planning of experiments as well as evaluation and interpretation of scientific results
• Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams from structural biology, protein technology, high-throughput screening, and medical and computational chemistry

Who You Are:
• Completed university studies (B.Sc.) in biology, chemistry, biophysics, or biochemistry
• Proven expertise in the expression, purification, and X-ray structure analysis of proteins
• Practical experience in biophysical methods (e.g. TSA, SPR) and the interpretation of protein-ligand interactions are desirable
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for research and experimentation
• Ability and willingness to develop and adapt new technologies
• Ability to collaborate and communicate in interdisciplinary teams
• High degree of motivation, commitment, and sense of responsibility
• Very good knowledge of spoken and written English, basic knowledge of the German language is an advantage
