Dear CCP4BB,

Had enough of crystallisation? Do you find X-rays old-fashioned and boring? Do unit cells seem repetitive to you and are space groups just rearranged variations of more of the same?

Come join us as a Software Scientist in Cryo-electron Microscopy at Diamond Light Source and eBIC:

https://vacancies.diamond.ac.uk/vacancy/software-scientist-in-cryoelectron-microscopy-410549.html

eBIC is the Electron Bio-Imaging Centre at Diamond (https://www.diamond.ac.uk/Instruments/Biological-Cryo-Imaging/eBIC.html), and provides scientists with state-of-the-art experimental equipment and expertise in the field of cryo-electron microscopy, for single particle analysis, cryo-tomography, and microED.

This is a full time, permanent position working on automating the facility-wide data analysis. Although the post is focused more on software development/engineering than research there is scope to do research projects. There are collaborating opportunities both with our own staff and external groups.

More information is available at the links above, if you have any further questions you can also get in contact with me.

Please forward to anyone who you think might be interested.

Thanks!

Markus Gerstel
