[ccp4bb] Ubiquitin & Friends Symposium 2019, Vienna

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to draw your attention to the 6th "Ubiquitin & Friends symposium" taking place in Vienna on May 20-21, 2019.

The Symposium will provide an overview on the research, the challenges and the advances in the field of ubiquitin biology and of its related protein modifiers. Of course, structural aspects will be also covered, focusing mainly on proteasomal particles and E3 ligases. Closely packed in a 11/2 days meeting, you will have the chance to listen to outstanding experts including

* Alfred Goldberg (Harvard Medical School, USA)

* Eilika Weber-Ban (ETH Zuerich)

* Ramanujan Hegde (MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, UK)

* Elif Karagoz (UCSF, USA)

* Katrin Rittinger (Francis Crick Institute, UK)

* Ivan Dikic (Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany)

* Anne Simonsen (Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, Norway)

* Fumiyo Ikeda (IMBA - Institute of Molecular Biotechnology, Austria)

This year the Ubiquitin & Friends symposium will take place in a truly historic place, the “Billrothhaus” in Vienna, featuring a majestic lecture hall, where already Freud, Landsteiner and Rokitansky presented their studies. In fact, the Billrothhaus lectures are famous to stimulate extensive discussions and combine science with culture, thus fitting perfectly to the scope of the Viennese Ubiquitin meeting. Key points of this special event are indicated on the attached poster, and can be found at https://ubiquitin.at

With kind regards,

Tim
