Title: POST-DOCTORAL POSITIONS IN STRUCTURAL BIOLOGY
The Department of Biochemistry at the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology in Tübingen invites applications for a:

 Staff Scientist in Structural Biology / Biochemistry

We are seeking a structural biologist with experience in protein purification and X-ray crystallography to strengthen the department's efforts to solve the structure of complexes involved in RNA metabolism. Duties include the supervision and teaching of undergraduate and PhD students in the areas of protein purification, crystallization, data collection and analysis. Candidates should have at least 2 years of postdoctoral research experience in X-ray crystallography. A wide variety of core services are available at the institute, including: computational biology, mass spectrometry, protein crystallization and state-of-the-art NMR equipment as well as ample opportunities to interact with structural biologists on campus and within the Max Planck Society. The position is available immediately. An initial contract of 5 years’ duration according to the standard procedures of the TVöD will be offered to the successful candidate. This may be renewed, depending on circumstances at the time of the review.
