[ccp4bb] Posdoctoral position available U. Colorado Medical School

This is a full-time, NIH-funded Postdoctoral Associate position in the lab of Dr. Mair Churchill in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, in Aurora, CO.  

The research focuses on understanding the mechanisms underlying chromatin structure and its assembly.  This involves development and implementation of methods to determine structures, interactions and functions of histone chaperones.  In addition to performing experiments, the fellow will write and prepare manuscripts for publication; and the fellow is expected to pursue extramural funding to help support their research project.

The position will begin immediately.  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Requirements; knowledge of structural biology, X-ray crystallography, NMR, biochemistry, protein chemistry, biophysics, mass spectrometry, and molecular biology/biochemistry to differing degrees; problem solving skills; scientific aptitude and creativity. 

Minimum Requirements
Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Pharmacology, or have investigated a closely related field for their Ph.D. research project. Evidence of a strong commitment to research from strong publications and letters of reference is required.

Salary commensurate with experience.
