Fixes (I think) for bug # 3274 - now only mess with the XUSERwhatnot if
the appropriate path exists.

Fix for bug # 3275 - as agreed at today's bugs meeting all references

case statement.

Changed (fixed) check that /laue exists to check that it is also a directory -

Bug #1550: standardise CCP4_BROWSER to be "mozilla" on all platforms. This
is unlikely to please anyone as all choices are as arbitrary as each other
